Annette Scott General Manager |
As a child I always had animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, goldfish and cats - but never dogs as unfortunately my dad had a fear of them. I really loved dogs so would go round to family and friends houses to walk and play with their dogs.
After completing my GCSEs I went to Brooklands College to do a Secretarial Studies Course, which I must add, was not as exciting as I imagined!
At this time I had mixed feelings on the career path that I wanted to choose. Whilst at college I decided to get a weekend job and having always had a passion for dogs I successfully applied at a kennels in Esher not knowing that in future years this was to become Royvon Dog Training Schools. I spent my Saturdays working at the kennels as a kennel hand, cleaning, feeding the dogs and cats and taking the dogs out for exercise, I really enjoyed the job and so worked at every available opportunity. After completing my college course you can imagine my excitement when I was offered a full time position. My dedication to the job took me through 15 years of employment at the kennels.
In April 2006 the owners of the kennels decided to retire and sold the business to Darren and Hannah James who refurbished the premises and reopened the business in July 2006 as Royvon Dog Training Schools. Funny as it sounds by buying the company he also 'bought me' and has been stuck with me ever since! .and so he decided to make me Manageress.
