Day Care FAQs
Why is day care healthy for my dog?
With more and more people owning dogs it is so important to have a well socialised dog that you can take everywhere with you. We actively encourage people to send their dogs along purely for the socialisation we provide, as well as the exercise and fun they get as a matter of course. It is the combination of exercise, fun and socialisation which produces a happy, well adjusted dog to live with. If you have a puppy, send it along to socialise even if only for a few weeks; we take extra care to monitor puppies' exercise according to their age and size. We take the dogs out for a great time, letting them just be dogs and have fun with other dogs whilst having loads of exercise but under control at the same time.
Will my dog benefit from day care?
Our many years experience has shown us that giving your dog a routine, exercise and fun is a great way of keeping them occupied and ultimately happy until you return home.
What time can I drop off in the morning?
Wednesday to Sunday 7am and Monday & Tuesday 8am
I need to get to work, how long does drop off take?
All dogs must be pre registered so we already have all the information that we need, therefore the time taken at drop off is a few minutes.
What's the latest time I can collect my dog from day care?
Our normal business hours are 6pm but by appointment we can allow later collections.
What does registration involve?
Completion of a questionnaire.
What is the cost of day care?
Day care is charged at a rate of £18 per day + Vat. We offer reductions for regular day care users. If you would like to include a 3 hour Play all Day session with your day care then that is charged at £8 + Vat in addition to the day care rate.
What is Play all day?
Our 3 hour play all day sessions are great fun for friendly dogs. Pre selected groups are given the opportunity to play together in large play areas specially designed for this use. We have both indoor and outdoor play areas where the dogs are supervised the whole time. We are currently working on the functionality of webcams so that you can view your dogs playing while you're at work.
How do you determine if my dog is friendly?
To be accepted as a Play all Day guest, the owner completes a behaviour questionnaire. Your dog is then introduced to two of our dogs to see how well he/she interacts with other guests. If all goes well, you are welcome to use our Play all Day sessions.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Priority is given to regular Day care guests and then places are given on a first come, first served basis.
