Royvon Dog Training Schools

The Assessment

Although all dogs are accepted onto this course over the age of 6 months, all dogs must be assessed to ensure the course is suitable for both the dog and their owners. Through our experience we know in the early stages if we are able to provide the level of training that is expected and if we feel the course is not suitable or the learned behaviour is too 'set' then we will fail the assessment on that dog. 95% of the dogs booked onto this course pass the assessment, the ones that fail tend to be the older dogs or the dogs that we just can't get happy. All dogs are allocated one main Trainer for the duration of the course. Within the first seven days of the course, the Trainer will schedule a telephone Assessment with the owner to discuss the dog profile questionnaire, Trainer assessment, expectations for the course, methods used and the owner responsibility at course conclusion.
