Training and Boarding

Royvon's New Services

Following is a list of the Royvon Dog Training Schools obedience training and behaviour management services.  If you do not see the service that meets your needs, contact us!

Residential Training

Royvon is the Nation's first and leading specialists for residential dog training.  The features of the service entail having the dog live at the school fora designated 10-day or 3 week period of time during which time they are obedience trained.  The Royvon Team of expert and experienced Trainers teach a list of Set Standard exercises through the use of positive reinforcement methods, the same methods that are taught to the owner at the end of the course.

Benefits of the service include:

For more information on the Royvon residential training programme, contact us , or visit our comprehensive residential web pages .

Classroom

Royvon now offers classic classroom-style training.  Classroom training does require active participation from the owner both in class and in the home sessions between classes.  But, for many owners, the ongoing, hands-on instruction and guidance is the preferred method of learning, regardless of the time commitment involved.

Royvon classes are limiting only in that there are currently only two schools and interested students would need to either live in close proximity or be willing to travel.  However, a benefit to enrolling in a Royvon class is that there are many from which to choose, from two age brackets of puppy shaping to junior shaping through adult obedience. Additionally, Royvon maintains a high Instructor to student ratio, which makes for an unusual amount of personal attention.

For more information on Royvon obedience classes, please visit our classroom training web pages for puppies and adult dogs , and take a look at our class schedule for January 2007 .  It is encouraged to visit often, as the details are constantly being updated.

One-to-One Training

One-to-One training is multi-faceted and versatile, where an owner can learn the methods for controlling their dog's general obedience, choose to work on a specific issue, or have their session(s) tailored to address a host of requirements.

What makes this programme unique, and yet another advantage to Royvon's services is the combining of obedience training and behaviour management.  Before a Trainer works with the owner and dog, they'll have collected and studied a profile of the dog, including its history, temperament, relationship with the family, obedience and behaviour challenges.  Therefore a dimensional approach is taken to re-shaping the dog's behaviour both in the home and outside and unpredictable environments.

For more information on One-to-One training, please visit the Royvon One-to-One web page.  Also know that similar to classroom training, customers need to be willing to travel to either school for their appointment.  However, if travel is not an attractive option, or if the problems are strictly based in the home, consider In-Home Training as described in the following section.

In-Home Training

Some dogs only display undesirable behaviour at home.  Examples of such behaviour include aggression to family members and/or strangers in the home, inappropriate toileting, phobias, pet rivalries, excessive solicitation for attention, separation anxiety, etc.  This is only a short list of possibilities, and while some behaviour can be reviewed and discussed at the school, there are times when an assessment of the dog in their normal environment is a key factor in resolving the issues at hand.

For more information on In-Home training, please visit the Royvon In-Home web page.  The fees of in-home training include travel expenses provided the customer live within 15 mile or 30-minute radius of either school.  Should In-Home training be requested outside of this proximity, a transportation fee of .45p per mile will be included.

Consultative Training

Often times dogs do not display their undesirable behaviour on cue - an owner may not know what triggers their dog, or the dog is only displays the behaviour in very specific instances that are difficult or unnecessary to simulate. In other cases, owners are seeking preventative advise or puppy shaping recommendations... Regardless of what the behaviour or combination of behaviour is or is not, consultations offer the opportunity to study and discuss the background of the situation or desired outcome, set-up exercises in a controlled environment, work through methods and put together programme recommendations suited to the situation.  Consider Consultations as case studies for dogs, where the roots of the problem and/or solutions require both analytical and practical attention.

For more information on Consultative training, please visit the Royvon Consultation web page.  Consultations may take place in the home or at the school, which will alter the pricing structure.

Boarding & Training

Different than the Royvon standard residential training programme, the Team works with dogs on very specific areas of obedience and behaviour management, designed to fit the allocated time frame that a dog is being boarded.

Consider the additional benefits of boarding a dog with an established training school:

Doggy Day School

Similar to Boarding & Training, Doggy Day School is a service that not only cares for dogs when their owners have to spend long amounts of time away from them, it includes tailored training programmes throughout their stay.  Whether the dog is at the school for a few hours or booked on a regular basis while the owner is at work, there is peace of mind in having your dog kept company, kept active and learning at the same time!

Bespoke Training

Royvon boasts of their numerous and ongoing successes with celebrity clientele -  many of whom have erratic schedules, atypical lifestyles, privacy requirements and other complex needs!  However, you need not be a celebrity to request bespoke services.

Bespoke training is customising a programme regardless of the challenges and obstacles.  There is no pricing structure because there is no structure - both are built within the guidelines of school, the Trainer and client.

For more information, visit our Bespoke web pages for a short list of features and benefits of bespoke training, or call 01685 358140.
