Obedience Training
Royvon's Purpose is to enhance the quality of life for dogs and their owners. Obedience training is one of the most foremost ways to create such a relationship.
Although it does require some skill, the more it is practised, and the more enjoyable the practise, the stronger the bond between dog & owner, and the more connected they will be to each other in the communication process. As important, through proper obedience training, the dog is under the owner's control at all times.
Obedience Training
Royvon's primary method of training is the combination of positive reinforcement and negative punishment - a dog is rewarded for desired behaviour and not rewarded for undesired behaviour. At no time are harsh methods used. Timing & consistency are key elements, as are general confidence, body language, use of voice, appropriate use of equipment and motivational rewards for the dog.
All leading edge training methods make virtually exclusive use of positive reinforcement these days, so there is no reason to hammer obedience into the dog using aversives anymore.

Gus - Didn't like the postman
When I was little I liked to chew/destroy TV handsets and mobile phones (the flip-top ones). Although I am sooooo over that now, I've now taken to selective recall and pulling on the lead (and my litttle problem with other dogs). For these reasons, I was sent to Royvon as a Pampered dog.
What can I say? I was astounded! I could not believe the 'out of control' dog that I had left in your care 3 weeks prior was the same dog now totally under Caroline's control.
