Terry Dowman - Trainer/Instructor

    

Terry's career with dogs spans well over 30 years.  His experience includes teaching, training and competing at various levels of obedience, including Good Citizens, basic, advanced and competitive.  He is also actively involved with a local training club and with other dog enthusiasts within the community, which include his MBIPDT and associations with the Animal Care College.  Terry's combination of skills has been a asset to the Royvon team.

 

 

I have gained experience and in-depth knowledge of canine behaviour and different training methods including modification that may be used in the training of dogs.

Gwyneth Evans - Trainer/Instructor

Gwyneth is another one of Royvon's Senior Trainers.  She has been training, handling, showing and instructing dogs and owners for almost 30 years and has a wealth of experience with all breeds.  She also competes in local and national obedience and breed competitions at a championship level with her Retriever and Border Collie - where she regularly takes first place!

 

Rachel Dowman - Trainer

 

Rachel comes from a dog training and competitive dog obedience family and has been a member of Cefn Coed Obedience Club since the age of 13.  She studied at Animal Care College while training professionally to be a Dog Trainer. 

Rachel runs the Royvon Puppy classes and is currently clicker training her Border Terrier in preparation for competitive obedience.

 

Tony Hughes - Trainer/Instructor

Tony comes to Royvon with over 25 years of very exceptional and unique animal keeping, handling and training skills having worked with and studied the methods of the top Trainers in both the US and UK.  He trains both dogs and wild animals, which include his experiences as a Big Cat Trainer in Italy & Spain; an Elephant Trainer in Hungary; an Assistant Animal Superintendent for Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus in the United States; Head Groom and Zoo Keeper in the United Kingdom. 

 

His specialty areas of behaviour management with dogs is dealing with dog-to-people aggression, with his specialty breeds including the Rottweiler and Dobermann.  His favourite breeds are Rottweilers and Mastiffs.

 

Tony is currently working towards a degree in Animal Behaviour with the goal to always work with animals and help modify unwanted behaviours.

 

There is no such thing as a bad dog!
