Dog Trainers / Behaviourists - Surrey

Jacqueline Kelly

Dog Trainer, Behaviourist, Team Leader for Classroom Training, and Veterinary Health Advisor -

Responsible for obedience training, behaviour management and acting Team Leader for the development, coordinations and promotions of classroom training and behaviour consultations.

Jackie's career includes all the key aspects of canine care including extensive education and experience as a Veterinary Technician, Kennel Hand, Trainer and Supervisor.  Although she is originally from England, her work has re-located her to California, Spain and Germany giving her the advantage of exposure to different learning and teaching environments as well as a variety of approaches to obedience training and behaviour management.  She has chosen to settle permanently in her home country to dedicate her full time and focus on working and living with dogs.

For this reason, Jackie has been chosen as Royvon Surrey's resident Trainer and Carer, where she will be responsible for training dogs and coordinating classes during the day and tending to the health, care and well-being of all the dogs after-hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Jackie's specialty areas of obedience and behaviour management include fear-related behaviour modification and confidence building.

It is no surprise that Jackie's biggest hobby is dogs and when she is not "professionally" working with dogs, she takes on additional roles and responsibilities of coordinating rescue & rehabilitation organisations, moderating Internet pet forums, tending to her own rescue dog and assisting others with their dogs.  Jackie believes that effective dog training requires a good mixture of work, fun and relaxation.

The training process should be rewarding for both the dog and Trainer!

Natasha Kriklani

Dog Trainer, Behaviourist and Residential Team Leader -

Responsible for obedience training, behaviour management and allocating residential dogs and organising the residential team.

From an early age Natasha displayed a vocation for working with dogs and has built on this over the years.  Working with dogs is not a job for her; it is a way of life!  - She was trained at the top dog training school in Greece.  During the time that she was apprenticed, she enjoyed every aspect of looking after dogs: bathing and grooming them, cleaning their kennels and generally looking after their health, and within only 4 months was promoted to Assistant Dog Trainer.

She worked for the next 20 months as part of a dedicated team, training dogs as pets and also for people with disabilities.

In 2004 she established her own very successful dog training facility on the Island of Crete, where she was born.

Through her vast and intense experiences, Natasha has gained an even higher respect for the character and abilities that dogs can posses when properly trained - as pets and helpers.  She also believes that dog training can only be successful when the dog owner has fully understood how to best communicate with their dog.  She, therefore, takes a lot of care to build up good communication with her customers. She ensures that the ability to correctly handle their dogs can be transferred from the trainer to the owner.

Natasha's specialty breeds include Labradors, German Shepherds, Hunting breeds, Rottweilers and West Highland White Terriers.  Her long term objectives are to work and learn more specialised training.

No dog is stupid or clever -

there are dogs that take more time and dogs that take less time to learn.

“I am completely mad about dogs and I believe that working with dogs is the most rewarding job anyone could wish for.  I find it very pleasing to see the transformation from an untrained dog into a dog, which is obedient and even more loveable to its owner!!

A house is not a home without a dog.

Ahmet Sezer

Dog Obedience Trainer

In 1998 having graduated from University of Uludag Bursa Turkey,  Ahmet began his career at a Veterinary Technician with a Diploma in  Animal Health and Care. For the next three years he worked in private kennels. His superiors soon discovered he had an ability for training and after completing the relevant courses in training, obedience and agility  he became the team leader of the training staff ending up as the manager of the kennel. In 2001 he went to do his military service and specialised in security training, rescue training and one-to-one companion dog training. This entailed not only the dog training but he also trained the handlers who were N.C.O.’s and above.

After his discharged from the army he continued  training dogs privately until he came to England

Ahmet's specialty breeds include German Shepherds, Belgium and Anatolian Shepherds, Dobermanns, Labradors, Irish Setters and Retrievers. His areas of expertise include all varieties of aggression, most specifically dog aggression to people.

The most important element of dog training is the bond between the dog and the trainer, your dog will sense your feelings towards it  . Show your dog that it is loved and it will respond much better to your commands. Remember a firm voice when necessary  is not cruelty and will earn it’s respect.

Erin Smith

Dog Obedience Trainer

Erin works as both an Animal Carer and Trainer at Royvon.  She studied dog training and earned her experience at Bagshot Dog Training School, where she was a student and a volunteer, in addition to training her own Rottweiler.  She is currently enrolled in the Advanced Canine Psychology course at the Animal Care College.

Erin specialises in companion dog training with an emphasis on the key basic safety commands, including recall and drop on command.  She enjoys working with stubborn, willful dogs that ignore their owner's commands and generally do not do as their told - this is where she excels by developing a relationship with her trainee dogs that is both rewarding and promotes learning.
