"Poppy"

About Poppy:

I am a very beautiful, show-quality Border Collie puppy.  My family took a very long time to find me, as it was very important that I was bred into a child friendly environment.  Since being in my new, human home, I have been well socialised and have started working towards my Bronze Award with distractions.  I can be described as cheerful, energetic and confident. In short, I am a very happy little girl and have had a very good start to life and it's just going to keep getting better!

Before Royvon:

I had started basic obedience before getting enrolled at Royvon.  I know a list of command words, but am still a puppy, so my attention span is sometimes challenged.  The main reasons for going to the school is to become more proficient in a controlled environment with a lot of distractions.  I also can be quite possessive of my food and some of my cherished toys - and this is something that is very important for me to stop.

During Royvon:

Poppy is indeed a cheerful little girl - she loves her visitors, attention, training sessions and just about everything.  She is attentive and very sweet.  Her early training sure shows, but because she is still young, it has been very good to have her at the school to polish what she's been already learning.  She did have some difficulties with the Stay command, but has gotten progressively better - she especially is responsive to happy and positive reinforcement.
