My parents Roy and Yvonne founded Royvon so I been surrounded by dogs and involved with Royvon all my life! I helped with the dogs during my school holidays then started full time straight from school. I trained as a dog groomer from age 16 and worked in the grooming salon until my first child Sam was born when I was 25 years old. From then I learnt IT and management which prepared me well for when I took over management of our Merthyr Tydfil branch just after my second son Danny was born 4 years ago. Both my husband Leon and my children spend lots of time at Royvon with me. It is where I grew up and where I feel most at home. We've just started growing vegetables there and hope to get some chickens soon.

Over the past 10 years I have studied in Dog Psychology and Leadership & Management as they are both extremely important in the business we run. Next I would like to learn more about dog nutrition. During my spare time I enjoy running marathons for charity. I’ve completed the London Marathon 3 times and I’m due to run the Rome Marathon March 2011. Between the marathons and our annual charity dog shows we’ve managed to raise thousands for the Dogs Trust and RSPCA. I’m also on the board of the Merthyr Business Club and manage their website. I like to support the local business community.

I have a passion for all dogs and try to meet our guests daily to say ‘hi’ and ensure their wellbeing is being managed. I have a Standard Poodle called Lucci, who spends his days with me either running or at Royvon. He loves our play group sessions and playing with Jim’s black Lab, Duffy. German Shepherds are very close to my heart but Sam is allergic to dog hair so we’re unable to have one yet. I’ve recently trained a beautiful chocolate Labradoodle and fell in love so hopefully will have my own very soon!!! I feel very blessed to do the job I do. My team are like one big family and we get to spend all day with lots of great dogs! How Lucky am I?
