Royvon Dog Training Schools Proudly Presents

"Taffy"

My name is Taffy and I am a typical Welsh Springer Spaniel.  I love most everything - other dogs, attention, jumping, pulling on the lead to get somewhere faster...

Terry thought it would be a good idea to whistle train me to recall, so I can still run, be curious and distracted, yet hear the signal that it's time to check in with my handler for a bigger reward (which might even be permission to run & play again!).

He's also doing a lot of distraction training work with me, which includes training me with distractions way off in the distance and slowly getting closer as my learning improves.

Since my walk to heel isn't all that good, he won't allow any forward movement when we're walking (in fact he just stops in his tracks) until I stop too and sit patiently beside him.  It takes a long time to get to where we're going, but if I walk with a loose lead, we get there much faster (perhaps I'm smarter than Terry for figuring this out!)

All-in-all I'm a really good boy!  The attention (and tummy tickles) here at Royvon have been great and I'll be anxious to come back and visit everyone.
