I've been at Royvon for nearly over 8 years (2002). Over the years I have gained much experience in the dog world. I'm Head Trainer of Merthyr Obedience club - Cefn Coed, I'm a member of BIPDT, Have gained a dog psychology certificate by the Animal Care College. I've also competed in competitive obedience & gundog trials.
I have a few favourite breeds and also have owned a few of them in the past. They include Staffordshire bull terriers, German Shepherds, Labradors, English Springer Spaniels. All of these dogs I have worked and competed with and many have been placed and won competitions. I currently own a Labrador & English Springer Spaniels and I enjoy doing working trials with them.
I really enjoy working with dogs & people. Particularly people who are interested in achieving a bond with and effective control of their pets. I also enjoy working with dogs that have aggressive issues, I like seeing the transformation where the owners can be taught to manage & control the situation, but most importantly start enjoying their dog.
Over the years I have worked and trained with a lot of competitive trainers and learnt many different ways of training a dog. There is no set way of training a dog you have to alter your methods to dog and owner so they can achieve the best results. |
