Royvon Dog Training Schools

Testimonials - Surrey

Charlie

I wanted to say that since I am relocating to Switzerland next week, this was probably the last time that I will be using Royvon; however, the company has been extremely helpfull and accommodating with my crazy business travel schedule. From the training, to the boarding, I have been very happy with all the services that I have used (and I think Charlie may have tried most of them). Hopefully we will be able to find a service as good as yours in Switzerland. Thanks again, Stacy

Dave

The training for the dog and ourselves and the explanation was excellent. We are clear on what we have to do and have been given confidence to do so but feel able to ring for advice if we are struggling! We will be retuning Dave for boarding and training when we go on holiday later in the year and we would recommend him to anyone.

Mr Allan Scott - Max & Sam

Dear Royvon Esher, This a wee note of thanks. Thank you for taking such good care of Max and Sam during our last holiday. They were obviously happy to see me but you could tell that they have been looked after really well. We have been coming to you for sometime now and you have seen Max and Sam grow up into splendid dogs, thanks also to your training. I know that the kennels must be good, as on the days we drop them off they get so excited coming down the drive. They look out of the windows, knowing where they are and by the time I have them out of the car I am forgotten and they are off. This is only a good sign. They can be a bit fussy but you take all this in your stride. Your boarding PLUS program works well for them and they are always returned fit and well. Thanks again and see you soon.

Nannette Hollis

Having been privileged to be the very first customer to bring my two dogs to Royvon in Surrey for boarding whilst the school was still having it's final touches put to it, my dogs have enjoyed the best treatment any owner could wish for. In truth, I wasn't even aware of the training side of the establishment, so when I was asked if I would like one of the trainers to give my feisty bull terrier cross some one on one, I naturally agreed, not thinking that ten days could make much difference. When I returned however, I couldn't believe the improvement and the overall change in her temperament, in particular towards other dogs, which had always been a little bit of an issue. The trainer even gave me a demonstration as I was in an enclosed area so that I could watch my dogs being paraded in front of other dogs in the enclosure. It really was incredible; especially since I had spent a small fortune three years earlier on a six week training course every weekend, which provided little if no results, other than one poor chicken on the farm losing nearly all it's feathers and almost it's life.... Piggy and Wunny had previously really stressed when I had taken them into kennels, and on each return I would notice that they had lost weight because they were too stressed to eat, and on two occasions, also came back to me with kennel cough; however with Royvon, it seems they don't even miss me and certainly aren't too bothered about coming back to me in a hurry - I have to take this as good news for them, plus the fact that they look healthy and happy, and totally adore all the staff at the school. Bringing Piggy and Wunny to Royvon is now something I look forward to, and I never feel nervous or worried in the way that I used to... they are happy and cared for and exercised to most professional level. I'd like to say a huge thank you to Darren and Hannah and all the staff at Royvon - don't ever leave!!"

Blackberry

Blackberry was brought back today. It was lovely to have her back and we've seen a great change in her even though she got a little bit excited about seeing everyone! So thank you to everyone for all your hard work. Many thanks again for everything and please pass on our thanks to Rachel and Darren especially. Best wishes, Bernadette

Trevor

Dear Darren, We just wanted to officially thank you and your staff for being superb boarding kennels . We have put Trevor into boarding kennels on two previous occasions and we know that he dislikes the experience per se. Trevor is obviously thrilled to be home but he is showing no abnormal behaviour and has settled down immediately. Moreover he has demonstrated that your training programme works!

Please may we send special thanks and congratulations to Katrina; she was so kind to Trevor and an excellent trainer.
We will undoubtedly use you again and also spread the word. Trevor received the best possible attention at your kennels and also the kindest support,
With further thanks and our kindest regards,
The Holtons x 3

Scooby

Scooby's behaviour in the house has improved 100% since he has been home, he is brilliant at coming in from the garden, there is no attacking me or the window if he sees a cat outside and his behaviour around guests has been excellent which is great because this quite a big problem before, he is respecting me and doing what i want rather than doing what he wants, overall i am very pleased with the results from scooby stay at royvon, long may it continue, further updates will follow, thankyou.

Wylie

We are still very intensively training Wylie and are very happy with the progress he has made so far and hopefully has the basis of good behaviour that will improve as he develops mentally (he's still at a boisterous puppy age).

Thanks very much for all your help. We were reluctant to leave him anywhere as he is so attached to us and nervous of others, but my wife is already hoping to get away on holiday next year knowing there is somewhere we trust to leave him while we've gone.

Kind Regards,
Pete

Tilly

I thought you might like to know how Tilly is getting on. She is generally being brilliant - I couldn't have wished for more. To begin with I took her to a grass field twice a day where we keep our horse and just went through everything I had done with you. She has been very receptive and is getting better by the day. She walks to heel and will stay while I walk ahead about 50 yards. Sometimes she is distracted by smells - I let her have a smell and then call her back to heel which she does immediately. In the evening we go back to the field for more training. She is also much better in the garden and isn't constantly barking at people and dogs on the other side of the wall. If she does bark we tell her 'no' and she stops immediately.

Thank you so much for all your help, Ahmet - you have given us all hope for the future and taken such care with Tilly. She clearly adored you.
I look forward to hearing from you when you have time.
best wishes
Jayne

Bruce

We have had an up hill battle with Bruce, our Staffordshire Bull Terrier. We were thinking about giving him away because we just could not handle his bad behaviour, but we decided to give him and us, one last chance. We are so glad that we did. Dan saved us all. He has trained Bruce to such a standard that we are easily able to continue to do so at home, in addition, he has given us not only the tools, but also the psychology and attitude that we need to manage Bruce. He is a much calmer dog than he was before, which in turn has made us more relaxed. We can't thank you and the rest of the team for all their help. Royvon is a unique and wonderful place for dogs and people, alike. We feel that we have made friends at Royvon...............we all just love it!!!!

Thanks and Best Regards,
Simone and Justin Jacobs and Bruce!

Beau & Desiel

Hi Everyone at Royvon,
I thought you might like to know how the scallywags have settled in back at home. I decided to take Beau for her first walk to heel and she did this beautifully. I was on the whole very pleased with the walk - it was a good start to a new beginning.

On returning home the dogs were naturally excited to be back together. Rebecca had done some training in part of the garden which the dogs will no longer have as a play area and she said Diesel responded to her commands with flying colours. No surprise there then.

The greatest change has been since then. They have both been in a calmer state of mind and have been very obedient to both our commands. They have both stayed on their beds when told and remained there when commanded to stay. They have both even remained on their beds when we've walked passed them and my son, who is temporarily staying with me, has walked past them. This would have been unheard of before - they would have jumped up and made a nuisance of themselves.

They are laying at my feet asleep right now, it is a joy to behold.
Thank you, I shall keep you informed.

Jess

Hello there, I am just reporting that Jess is doing really well. We're keeping up with the programme and the results are great. Everyone is really impressed with her.
Many thanks, Karen

Ozzy

Dear Ahmet
Firstly a giant THANK YOU for all your time and patience with Ozzy, we know it can't have been easy. And also thanks to all the other trainers and staff who must have given Oz a lot of hard work and attention too.

Of course it's early days for us but things are looking good already we are noticing more attentiveness and less attention seeking behaviour . We are going to take it steady and build up my confidence again with him (my voice is stronger normally-honest!) and other dogs and people. We have taken on board every thing you've said and will strive for success, I still wish you would come and be our lodger..... Ozzy seems pretty 'chilled' since he's come home which is lovely.

Well thanks again Ahmet (and every one else -oh and Katrina for his final bath, I know he has a lot of fur but he was done superbly I just gave him a brush out this morning to get rid of the final flurry and he looks great)

I shall be in touch with Ozzys (and MY) progress probably in a weekly brief diary format.
I hope you get a nice QUIET dog to replace Ozzy, what a shame for you that you get the dogs up to scratch and then have to give them away and start again but I suppose that's the nature of the game.
All the best L & G & Ozzy

Bailey

Just a quick email to say that Bailey is doing really well, he is not pulling on the lead any more and his recall is vastly better. He can now count to 5 ;-) by the way! So going to look at some new tricks... All in all he seemed to of thoroughly enjoyed his week there and it was well worth missing him so much for his improvement.
Garry & the cheeky Bailey

Socks, Sunbeam & Sparkle

Hi Darren,
The reception we received was utterly professional and our dogs were treated extremely well.
The intensive effort that Jackie put into understanding our dog's problems and requirements meant that leaving our beloved children in your care was made a lot easier.

You have an excellent ethos, team spirit and instructors to be very proud of!
Many Thanks
Betty and Ian Saxton

Logan

Just a quick line to say that Logan is doing very well with his continuation of training.
As you can see from the picture, he is very happy.
Steve & Chrissie

Imbiss

Imbiss is doing well. he seems much calmer now. I've had the confidence to let him off the lead and he has enjoyed it. Sometimes he is more interested in the smells around and it takes a few attempts to get him to look up, but he'll come back when I call.
Many thanks for your help,
Nicola & Imbiss

Angel

I just had to let you no that Angel is coming along so well. She is like a different dog and everyone has noticed this. We have just moved home and we have a big garden now so she comes in and out as she likes now she doesn't have the thing now that she has to escape all the time. We can take her for a run off lead and she comes back its just great - I'm just so pleased. It has taken a long time but with us keeping up the training we were shown, its all fantastic now and to think I was going to get rid of her. I wanted to share this with you because it is down your team that has made Angel into a great dog. Angel.
Many Thanks, Sue

Bailey

Many thanks to you and your team for taking such good care of Bailey last week; he came home happy and healthy and relaxed. He actually is doing lot better now in his home-crate because of his stay with you. We will be scheduling his 2nd module with you in the next couple of months.

Mack

We have had many ups and downs with Mack, not only thru his illness but with his behaviour. I can honestly say I was at the end of my tether. You were our last hope and thank God for you. My husband came to pick Mack up yesterday, what a difference, what a joy, what a dog. You have completely changed him and by doing so, you have changed my attitude. We now have a dog that we can continue to train but has the basics. Something we were unable to do ourselves as novice dog owners. I now feel much more relaxed and feel trained myself.
Many thanks
Sarah Duke

Boycey

Hi Darren
I really can't believe the difference in Boycey, well impressed and what a difference - everybody that comes round are impressed with his training.& i am really please with everything he has done for boycey and ourselves Thank you for everything

Parsley

It's really lovely to have him back, and I do think he's calmer than when he went to you - he's responding better to 'no' when he jumps up, for instance, without getting even more excited. We had a good session today playing with the ball and doing lots of little recalls. And I'm doing his counting, too, so that I can impress my husband. I thinks he's still pretty tired from all the hard work you've done with him.
Thanks Again,
Nancy

Derek

Hi Ahmet - Just thought that we would update you with Derek's progress...Firstly, the journey home was quiet! He is usually a nightmare in the car and whines and cries. He settled in the car and was asleep in the footwell!

He was very quiet Monday and we had difficulty getting him to go outside. He slept a lot. You must have worn him out! Training Tuesday was hard work and then we walked him around the block. He was much better than prior to coming to Royvon.

Today, James took him to our neighbours garden for training at lunchtime and he was very good and behaved well.

This evening I took him for training and, again, he was very good and we did lots of sit and stay and down and stay. After training I walked him for a couple of minutes and he was fantastic. He walked really well and responded well.

He seems more settled at home and we have even been teaching him to go to his bed for a treat which the girls have been doing with him.
We are really enjoying having him home and are really enjoying the training with him.
Thanks for all your hard work with him..
James and Karen

Blake

Hello Ahmet,
Well what can I say - are you sure that we collected the right dog on Saturday ?
We have been working with Blake as suggested, I have taken on the primary role for now as after leaving Jason & I felt that Blake would be more likely to try and show dominance over me. His first session is very early in the morning before I start work, when I take him for a 15 minute on lead session and it is amazing! I have to keep looking at the end of the lead to check that I have a dog attached. We have been working hard to ensure that we do not let him slip back into his old habits, this includes never letting him through doors or up and down the stairs in front of us. He has to sit and wait for us to go first and be told that it is OK, and he is responding really well.

We will of course bring him back for a follow up session, but not sure if we book this direct with you or through the office, but are looking to do so early in the new year.

Meanwhile we would like to say a huge thank you for your hard work and let you know how much we appreciate the difference that your persistence has made.
We look forward to seeing you again in the new year, and meanwhile would like to wish you a merry Christmas & happy new year.
Again thank you
Alex, Jason & Blake Kehoe

Jasper

I would just like to thank you for all your help, since I got home with Jasper he has been like a different dog; he actually listens to me now and you have given me confidence that I will be able to manage him in the future.
I would be very happy to recommend you to others. Have a happy Christmas and a good New Year.
Kind regards
Paula Stone

Dylan

Dylan, my chocolate Lab, although good natured was completely unruly and was starting to make my life a misery by dragging me down the road on the lead and uncontrollable with excitement when he saw other dogs. After being trained on a 10 day intensive course with Ahmet, he is now a pleasure to walk, much calmer when he sees other dogs, more affectionate and far more attentive to my command (of which is now more assertive as Ahmet trained me too!!). All this was achieved without my lovely dog losing his unique personality. Further more Dylan seemed to enjoy his time at Royvon and I would always be happy to take him back for boarding and reccomend both trainer and school to anyone.'
Kind regards

Titch & Pixie

I wish to congratulate you on employing Titch & Pixie's wonderful dog trainer at Esher Surrey! Within a short time he had Pixie sitting, laying and waiting, without moving. He has a wonderful way of handling dogs (and their owners). Pixie loved him, and also his two brothers Titch & Tiny followed him everywhere. He has a unique understanding of dogs and is very committed to training them. He did not rush and was quick to praise my boys (especially Pixie) when he done what he was told. We will miss seeing him very much.

I will readily recommend Royvon and especially our trainer to all other dog owners, and hope to pop back to visit you in the near future.

Leo

Before our dogs, Leo and Raphy, came to Royvon for training they were impossible to walk. They are both big dogs, Leo a Rottwieller and Raphy a husky, and were very strong which made it hard to train them. After four weeks at the Surrey school with Ahmet they are totally different dogs. They walk to heel, sit, stay and come back when they are called. It used to be a nightmare taking them out but now it is a pleasure. We cant thank you enough for the great job you have done and we would recommend anyone who is having problems to come to Royvon for help.
Best wishes and many thanks,
Lynne and Babs and a Big Thanks from Leo & Raphy xxx

Harley

It is lovely to have Harley home. She is much better behaved than before but there is still the Harley spark in there which is great. She is looking really good too - her coat is looking better than ever and she's filled out too. Can I check what you've been feeding her because it obviously suits her.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of her and turning her in to a dog anyone would be proud to own.

Sue Argue

thank you for your letter. Just to let you know that George is doing extremely well since the training both he (and us) received. He has returned home a different dog - and responding well to the continued instruction that we are giving him. He's actually a pleasure to take out, and indoors is allowing visitors to enter the house without the normal jumping and barking. I'm recommending the school to anyone who asks!

Mr. & Mrs. Weedon

Since Sascha has been back home, both myself and David have been continuing with the work has trained Sascha with. Sascha has responded very well to the sit, stay, heel, down commands. Thank you Jackie and everyone at Royvon it is so nice not having a dog who play bites or who jumps up so often.
