Workshops
Royvon Dog Training School is able to offer a day workshop for dog and handler at our headquarters in South Wales.
The day workshop offers the opportunity to work with a trainer intensively on a one to one basis. Royvon Trainers can provide tailored training and behavioural advice for you and your dogs individual needs. Royvon can offer the benefit of indoor and outdoor training areas in a controlled environment.
Workshops Available
Recall
The recall workshop will include with a full assessment of the dog's behaviour and recall difficulties. The Trainer will give general overview of what the day will entail and the training methods that will be used.
We are able to provide indoor facilities and outdoor facilities within the Royvon Grounds to practise recall with controlled amount of distractions.
The trainer will also be able to train you in the local parks and countryside to give you confidence in a normal dog walking situation.
Aggression
The aggression workshop is for dogs who display aggression towards other dogs. The day will start with a full assessment and discussion on the dog's behaviour and training needs.
The trainers do a hands on tuition to show you what basic obedience exercises need to be put in place to help you with controlling the dog's aggression and will also discuss the leadership programme to help with the behaviour.
During the day you will have experience of handling your dog around other dogs and have tuition on how to stop the warning signs of your dog's anxiety and what practices to put in place to take control of the situation.
Puppy Training
The Puppy training workshop is a great start to any puppy's training. The course will include how to start puppy's basic obedience to ensure they become a well trained adult dog.
We will give your puppy the opportunity to socialise with other dogs in a controlled and friendly manner to provide the start of a well socialised dog and also provide you with a socialisation plan to ensure that their good socialisation skills continue at home.
Our trainers will also be able to advise you on the common puppy problems such as toilet training and separation anxiety.
General Obedience
Our general obedience workshop can cover a range of basic exercises to ensure you have a well trained pet. General obedience includes walking on lead, meeting and greeting other people and dogs, Sit and down stays and general good manners.
We are able to offer the opportunity to work in a no distraction area to ensure the dog understands the basic commands and then we are also able to offer a controlled increase in distractions to teach the dogs to respond to commands in every situation.
